It should come as no surprise that, “The Greater the Challenge…The Greater the Opportunity.”

After twenty years of challenge to find my place in an industry that I have great passion for, it has been no less a struggle to be counted as an asset and recognized for my contribution to what has been my love since a very young man.

My passion for aviation has been the foundation for all my endeavors through professional training and personal development from day one. I have sought out every avenue of this passion as a student and enthusiast to be counted in its history as a contributor…at any level. Though I may not ever achieve the recognition of those whose names stand out for their bravery or competitiveness, I have had a role in helping others find their path to success in aviation behind the scenes.

Just recently, an opportunity has been offered to me that has awakened the enthusiasm for my passion once again. A position with an icon in the Commercial Aviation industry. One could say that my ship has come in or…my plane has landed. I can say without reservation that this is the “dream job” that every passionate and driven person waits for to satisfy their hunger for a piece of the “personal-achievement” pie.

Though not cast in stone, just the opportunity to be recognized for a prospective opportunity to contribute to my passion in such a concrete way has given me new life of hope and confidence in myself and the industry I love as much as speaking…aviation!

This dissertation is my way of extending hope for your dreams and the real possibility that it can happen for you as well…no matter how long it takes and no matter the sacrifice. Those that know me know that I am a driven, determined and passionate person no matter what goals I set and no matter what obstacles I face. If I am guilty of anything, it is believing that you can achieve anything that you want. Your success is within reach even though you might have to stretch for it!

Motivational Speaker Lived In A Garbage Dump

I’m a motivational speaker and I lived in a garbage dump. Yeah, you read right.

Ok, so what I didn’t tell you is that my family’s other business besides farming was…you guessed it, a garbage dump! I can say it now because it doesn’t exist any more but it was a Sanitation Service.

My step-father was the owner of a three-county wide sanitation service. It was the income that supported the farm because…if you weren’t aware…farming doesn’t pay very much.

As well I’m sure you can imagine that all throughout grade school I was teased mercilessly. It was the reason for many fist-fights. I was called every name in the book that related to “garbage”.

Eventually, I adopted the ever-smooth nickname of, “G-Man”. You may have heard the song by Johnny Cash about being a boy named, “Sue.” Well, I’m here to tell you that growing up at the dump will make a man out of you in short order!

There were some benefits when you grow up at the dump though.

I learned how to operate a bulldozer before I was thirteen years old. I learned how to drive a dual-axel, split-shift dump truck by fourteen and operate a front-end loader compactor before I was licensed to drive a car!
